He was predeceased by: his father Ferrell Glenn; his brother Nolan N. Payne; and his brothers-in-law, Terry Garlington and Buddy Herin. He is survived by: his wife Linda Piercy (Knox); his children, Jodie J. Stover of Auburndale, Florida and Rob R. Payne (Krista) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his stepchildren, Julie Rednour (Mike) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Jason Piercy (Ashley) of Lakewood Ranch, Florida; his grandchildren, Cody Payne (Jamie), Clay Payne (Brooke), Reece Payne (Mackenzie), Emma Stover, Gracie Stover (David), Brittany Herring (Ricky), Jase Piercy and Zyla Jo Piercy; his great grandchildren, Mila, Sage, Nevaeh, Palmer, Ember Payne, Adalynn and Henley Herring; his siblings, Alice A. Garlington of Odessa, Nova N. Herin of Corpus Christi, Texas and David D. Payne (Tammy) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; his sister-in-law Karen Payne of Pearland, Texas; and his close friends, Ann and Everett Bullock. He is also survived by six nieces; two nephews.
Memorials may be made in Ferrell's honor to Smith Cemetery Permanent Fund.
