She was predeceased by: her siblings, Lee Rumble, George Smith, Willie Smith and Maxine Knight. She is survived by: her husband Claude Brantley; her children, Rene McElrath (Tim) of Marion, Serena Dixon (Derek) of Chicago, Cleshae Brantley of Marion, Angela Carver of Saint Louis, Missouri, Claude F. Brantley of Mount Vernon, Craig Brantley of Mount Vernon and JaRyan D. Brock-Brantley of Marion, Illinois; and her siblings, Mearl Williams of Jackson, Pearl Allen of Jackson, Louise Coleman (Ray) of Fayette, Wanzie Cadney of Mesquite, Texas, Clyde Cadney of Fayette and Rudolph Cadney of Atlanta, Georgia. She is also survived by eighteen grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; and a multitude of friends.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to One Church One Child through the Children and Family Services Department.
