She was predeceased by: her parents, Clyde V. "Pop" Howell and Doris M. Howell (Whisenhunt); her brothers, Clyde "Jake" Howell and Jimmy Don Howell; and her grandparents, Frank, Georgia Whisenhunt, Robert and Letha Howell.
She is survived by: her boyfriend Garry Piper of Opdyke; her children, Shaun Thompson of Mount Vernon, Scott Thompson (Tracy) of Mount Vernon and Brandy Sharp (Sean) of Bonnie, Illinois; her grandchildren, Trent Thompson, Derrick Thompson, Brittany Downes (Thompson), Amber Thompson, Allyssa Thompson, Haley Sharp, Tristen Jelley (Sharp) and Trey Sharp; and her siblings, Betty L. Tate of Mount Vernon and Billie E. Howell of Mount Vernon. She is also survived by seventeen great-grandchildren.
