She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Cleon and Bertha Mae Brown (Dobbs); and her brother Steve McLaughlin. She is survived by: her husband Gary King; her children, Shannon King (Kevin Scott) of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Elizabeth King of Mount Vernon, Illinois, Joanna Hankins (Brandon) of Mount Vernon, Illinois and Gary King (Katelyn) of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her grandchildren, Stanley Garrison, Wesley Newman, Elora Hunt, Genie Hankins, Caleb Hankins, Joby Hankins, Jordan Hankins, Samuel Hankins and Leanna Hankins; her siblings, Mary Gilfillan, James Brown (Bunnie), James Kane, Dale Simmons, Cecil Brown Jr. and Herbert Brown; and her friend Gary Garrod Jr.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
