She was predeceased by: her parents, J. Leslie McKie and Mildred Louise McKie (Rylander); her former husband Merrill Duane Swanson; her brothers, Gene McKie and Wayne McKie; and her sister-in-law Ina McKie.
She is survived by: her husband Gayle Richard Krantz; her daughters, Sherrill Hills (Wendell) of Lynn Center and Teresa Swanson-Devlin (Tom) of Germantown Hills; her grandchildren, Lauren Hills, James Hills (Elizabeth) and Emma Devlin; her sister-in-law Debbie Fritz (Greg) of Galesburg; and her nieces and nephews, Nancy Stone, Linda Giger (Gary), Richard McKie (Elizabeth), Patricia McKie, Stephanie Woodard (Brian) and Kyle Fritz (Casey).
