He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Maxwell and Fern Frost (Hill); his wife Janet Ruth Clark; and his siblings, Robin Frost, Jimmy and Terry Frost.

He is survived by: his sons, Virgil Frost Jr. of Oregon, Richard Frost of Omaha and Timothy Frost of Kankakee; and his sister Tina Frost of Scottsville, Kentucky. He is also survived by six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
