He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Nancy Asmus; his children, Jeffrey Asmus (Sally) and Susan Kowalewski; his grandsons, Benjamin, Joshua and Samuel (Morgan); his great grandchild Vanessa; his brother Edward "Bud" Asmus Jr. (late Helen Mae); his niece Alicia Shillington; his nephew Edward W. Asmus III; his siblings-in-law, Doug Dykema and Bobbie Bolt (Gordon); and his nieces and nephews, Paul Bolt, Laurel Reynhout and Carol Rigsbee.
