He is survived by: his mother Iva Merritt (Cummings); his friend Bill Ross; his wife Frankie Merritt (Franks); his daughters, Rhonda Barrett (Steve) of Carbondale, IL and Robyn Nix (Keith) of Jacksonville, FL; his grandchildren, Colton Parker, Haley, Callie Barrett, Ian and Isla Nix; and his sisters, Kay Turner (Clyde) and Kristy Austin (Brandon). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
