He was predeceased by: his parents, Ray Simen and Opal Freida Burns (Luthe); his wife Nona Simen (Thomason); his daughter Tina Allen; and his siblings, Marilyn Anderson, Gladys Scherer, Leon Leroy "Jack" Simen, Robert Allen "Bob" Simen and Albert Lee "Joe" Simen.
He is survived by: his stepson Terry Stevens of Olney; his grandchildren, Brittany Thompson, Brooke Cales and Brandy Murbarger; his stepgrandchildren, Alex Stevens and Hailey Stevens; and his sister Shirley Joan Derrow (Rex) of Auburn, IN. He is also survived by several great grandchildren.
