He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas and Amy Thomas (Lomas); his sisters, Wilma McDowell, Frida Wilson and Lola Penrod; and his grandson Austin Thomas-Walker.
He is survived by: his children, Steven Thomas of Flora, Alex Leonard of North Bend, Oregon, Alice Cochran of Olney, Michelle Horath (Eric) of Flora, Johnann Thomas of Flora and Jessica Thomas of Mt. Erie; and his siblings, Darrell Thomas (Diana) of Neoga, Maxine Snyder of Olney and Shirley Greenwood (Truman) of Olney. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
