He is survived by: his mother Lois Madelyn Cox (Clark) of Lawrenceville, Illinois; his daughter Sharilyn Miller (Dustin) of Calhoun; his grandchildren, Oliver and Asher Miller; his siblings, Dianne Ballinger of Unionville, Tennessee, Carol Cox-McClave of Myrtle Beach, Robert Cox of Greenup, Illinois, Nancy Jamerson of Newton, Illinois and David Cox (Bev Drake) of Newton, Illinois.; his stepsiblings, Ken Mulvany (Ruth) of Henderson, Ralph Mulvany (Brenda) of Waxahachie, Texas, Dave Mulvany (Joan) of Grand Junction, Colorado and Yvonne Shelton (Bruce) of Lawrenceville; and his pet Luna.
In loving memory of John, memorials may be made to an education fund for John's grandchildren, Oliver and Asher Miller.
