He was predeceased by: his parents, Palmer Everett and Leona Olive Hout (White); his former wife Donna Kay Barnhart; his wife Kay Hout; his grandchildren, Whitley and William Hout; and his siblings, Kay, Nona, Darlene, Rosalie, Dale, Bob, Alicia, Velma and Max.
He is survived by: his wife Jane Hout of Olney; his children, Dennis Hout (Tammi) of Evansville, IN, Darla Gray (Roger) of Passport, IL and Scott Hout (Tiffanie) of Grayville, IL; his grandchildren, Hunter Hout (Jami), Tanner Hout, Colt Hout, Jennifer Adams (Kyle), Ashley Loyd (Rudy), Malerie Gray (Jeff Tennyson), Kaylea Hout (Alex Smith) and Pixi Hout; his great grandchildren, Everett, Brayden, Hayes, Kinsley, Ella and Oliver; his stepchildren, Stacey Townsend-Sechrest, Stephanie Craven (Josh) and Christopher Townsend (Erin); his stepgrandchildren, Madison Boehme (Korbin), Meghan Fiorini (Gannon), Mitchell Sechrest, Marley Sechrest, Benjamin Craven (Alex), Julia, Nathanael, Ava Jane, Anna, Naomi Craven, Hayden and Hannah Townsend; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Paisley and Selah; and his brothers, Dan Hout (Dana) and Gary Hout (Vicki). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
