It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Hazel E. Brainard (Olney, Illinois), born in Noble, Illinois, who passed away on February 5, 2020, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Charlie Brown and Marie Brown (Ireland); her husband Ray Brainard; her sons, Joseph Nowack and Jerry Brainard; her grandchildren, Michelle VanMatre and Christopher Brainard; and her pet Carola.
She is survived by: her son Ron Nowack of Olney; her stepdaughter Donna VanMatre (Don) of Olney; her grandson Rick VanMatre; and her children, Juliana, Brittany, Jacob, Alyson, Madison Boyer, Cindy French, Trudy Collier and Rodney Brainard. She is also survived by 11 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
