He was predeceased by: his grandmother Cynthia Campbell; his wife Clara Mae Goble; his daughter Julie; his parent Ethel; his grandfather John; and his brother Richard.

He is survived by: his children, Terri Campbell (Kenny) of Evansville, Bobby Campbell (Peggy) of Olney, Roy Campbell (Jeannie) of St. Cloud, Florida, Penny Campbell-Henry (Scott) of Olney, Cindy Campbell-Taylor (Jimmy) of St. Augustine, Florida and Jamie Campbell of Melbourne; and his sister Ida Biggerstaff of Olney. He is also survived by great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Richland County Veterans Association in memory of Galen Campbell.
