He was predeceased by: his parents, Loren Purdy and Verna Purdy; and his sister Brenda. He is survived by: his brother Ron; his wife Sandra; his children, Scot Purdy and Krissy Rietz (Todd); and his grandchildren, Cole Purdy, Macy and Bodey Rietz.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer donations be made out to the First Presbyterian Church of Olney or to Hospice of Southeastern Illinois.
