He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter "Bud" and Edna Leota Hires (Southard); and his siblings, George Daniel Hires and Betty Kercsmer (Hires). He is survived by: his children, Amy Hires Schimmelpfenning of Noble, Illinois, Angie Hires of Effingham, Illinois and Andy Hires (Trisha) of Olney; his grandchildren, Skylar Salyers (Kenna), Aaron Jenks (Heather), Dylan Hires, Raegan Hires and Cooper Hires; and his great grandchildren, Eliayas Salyers, Brayton Salyers, Paisley Salyers, Emma Jenks, Aubrie Jenks and Alexis Jenks.
