It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carol Shouse of Olney, Illinois, born in Effingham, Illinois, who passed away on June 15, 2021, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Curtis Harris and Marie Harris; her parents-in-law, Lloyd and Olive Shouse; her daughter Susan Renee Shouse; and her brothers-in-law, Paul Shouse, Theron Shouse, Eugene Lewis and Don Cunningham.
She is survived by: her husband Otis Douglas; her children, Scott Shouse (Brandy) of Claremont and Shari Thomas (Tom) of Robinson; her grandchildren, Tara Titsworth (Johnathan) of Vincennes, IN, Kaylee Shouse of Champaign, IL, Katie Shipman (Josh) of Vincennes, IN, Natalie Shouse of Bolivar, MO, Luke and Joshua Thomas of Robinson, IL; her great grandchildren, Alistair and Melody Titsworth of Vincennes, IN; her brothers, Kent Harris (Mardell) of Macomb, IL and Kit "Butch" Harris (Georgette) of Baton Rouge, LA; and her siblings-in-law, Doris Lewis, Velda Cunningham of Effingham, IL, Alvin Shouse (Elaine) of Effingham, Richard Shouse (Brenda) of Lebanon, IN, George Shouse (Marcella) of Effingham, Jean, Clarice and Dorothy Shouse. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
