She was predeceased by: her parents, James E. Diel and Grace Diel (Newlin); her husband Burton Shan; her siblings, Joseph Diel, Esther Wells, Mary Margaret Knackmuhs, Nell Ambers and Sylvia Moore; and her sisters-in-law, Joann Diel and Bernita Clarkson (Shann).
She is survived by: her children, Wayne Shan (Vivian), Ken Shan (Becky) and Pam Phelps (Jim) of Olney; her grandchildren, Kevin Shan (Leslie) of Olney, Karla Orr (Stephen) of Sheridan, IN, Rachel Scott (Brayden) of Olney, Jaclyn Shan of Olney and Nicole Shan of Olney; her great grandchildren, Bailey Shan Stephanie (Bridgitte Paddick), Liam Glassford, Nicholas, Oliver, Elliott Orr, Tate and Blake Nohren; and her sister Gladys Fitzpatrick of Dousman, WI. She is also survived by brother-in-law.
