It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Oliver J. Taake of Olmsted, Illinois, who passed away on August 28, 2021, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Oliver Sr. Taake and Matilda Huebotter Taake; his sister Kathryn Mowery; his aunts, Louise Metcalf and Ruth Kibbons; his uncle Paul Huebotter; and his nephew David Mowery.
He is survived by: his nephew Jeff Mowery of Cape Girardeau; his great-niece Janice Helton of West Frankfort; his great-nephew Dan Mowery of Anna; and also Emily Holst of Marion. He is also survived by several cousins and many friends.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Olmsted.
