He was predeceased by: his brother Lucas Heckert; his grandparents, Wayne Heckert, Verna Lou Heckert, Allen L. and Lorraine Schmale; his uncle Mark Kuzemka; his aunt Donna Heckert; and his cousin Jessica Heckert.
He is survived by: his parents, Kevin Heckert and Michelle Heckert; and his sister Lauren of Venedy.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spinal Cord Research at the Mayo Clinic, the West Washington County Unit School District Scholarship Fund or to the St. Peter's Building Fund and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
