It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ron Porter of Okawville, Illinois, born in Mount Vernon, Illinois, who passed away on September 10, 2021, at the age of 70, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Porter and Fern Porter; his sisters, Deloris Jordan, Betty Moutrie, Beverly May, Norma Webb, Barbara Ramsey and Jeanie Porter; and his daughter-in-law Jenny Knee.
He is survived by: his wife Valerie Porter of Okawville; his children, Davana Waddell (Chris) of Independence, MO, Jason Knee of Carlyle, IL, Whitney Lindsay (Shawn) of Okawville, Heather Ryder of Champaign, Anya Porter of Okawville and Patience Porter of Okawville; and his brother Joe Porter (Junelle) of Fairfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Four Square Missions and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
