Schwankhaus of Okawville, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois, who passed away on March 9, 2024, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, Ardell Schwankhaus and Janet Schwankhaus; his parents-in-law, Henry L. and Verona Muench (Simmons); his sister-in-law Shirley Muench; and his niece Elizabeth Muench.

He is survived by : his sister Karlyne Roethemeyer (Larry); his children, Doug Roethemeyer (Melanie), Angie Frazier (Jarred) and Kevin Roethemeyer; his great-nephews, Isaiah Frazier and Kelton Roethemeyer; his great-niece Kallie Roethemeyer; his cousins, Gary and Linda Steinkamp; and his brothers-in-law, John Muench (Christeen), Frantz Muench and Doug Muench (Mel Rae).
