Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Patricia Shaw of Okawville, Illinois, born in New Minden, Illinois, who passed away at the age of 85, on February 25, 2023. She was predeceased by: her parents, Alvis Sommers and Alvina Sommers; her husband Gary Shaw; her siblings, Raymond Sommers (Erma), Lucy Bailey and Shirley Holtgrewe (Kermit); her parents-in-law, Forrest and Anna Mae Shaw; and her sisters-in-law, Jean Gaebe (Ben) and June Ellerbusch.
She is survived by: her daughters, Tammy Frederking (Durwin) of Okawville, Carla Zapp (Jeff) of Addieville, IL. and Pamela Switala (Steve) of Okawville; her grandchildren, Lucas Frederking (Meagan), Brent Frederking (Melissa), Jacob Frederking (Sarah), Lesley Burkey (Jason), Nick Zapp (Lisa), Vanessa Birchler (Mike), Malia Rodgers (Bob Gunter) and Jenna Switala (Chris Culli); her great grandchildren, Bryndle, Raelynn, Madelyn, Bryson Frederking, Heath, Brooks Zapp, Evelyn Burkey, Avery Switala, Annie Culli and Oliver Rodgers; her sister Dolorus Pfautsch (George) of Oakland, CA; and her brother-in-law Rob Shaw (Charlotte) of Freeburg, IL. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews as well as a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, Mass offerings or memorials may be made to the St. Barbara Building Fund or to the Okawville Lion's Club and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
