He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Bening and Alvera Bening; his brother Keith Bening; his nephew Michael Bening; and his niece Alicia Christine Watts.
He is survived by: his wife Jackie Bening of Okawville; his children, Douglas Bening (Christine) of Okawville, Stephanie Meyer (Steve) of Okawville, Amanda Dunbar (Josh) of St. Charles, MO, Jonathan Bening (Erin) of St. Louis and Kristen Hundelt of Brentwood, MO; his grandchildren, Ethan, Mallory Bening, Braden, Mason, Savanna Meyer, Abby and Jack Dunbar; his pet Kevin; his siblings, Richard Bening of Okawville, Marcia Donini (Fred) of Highland, IL, Glen Bening (Wendie) of Ballwin, MO, Mark Bening (Georgette) of Plano, TX and Sara Lamb (David) of Lilburn, GA; and his brother-in-law Jerry Frederking (Danita) of Nashville, IL.
