It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet S. Poggemoeller (Okawville, Illinois), born in New Baden, Illinois, who passed away on August 21, 2019, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Mueller and Norine Mueller; her husband Donald E. Poggemoeller; her siblings, Sonny Mueller and Norine Haffer; and her grandchildren, Keagan Poggemoeller and Tricia Juarez.
She is survived by: her children, Cynthia Juarez of Sandoval, IL, Donald Poggemoeller (Linda) of Okawville and David Poggemoeller (Tina) of Greenville, IL; her siblings, June Gerdes (Bob) of St. Peters, MO and Cliff Mueller (Marilyn) of Hillsboro, IL; her fiancé Richard Askew of Caseyville, IL; and her grandchildren, Gary Ritter (Michelle), Rhiannon Fryer (Steve), James Kramer, Richelle Freeman, Joseph, Ricardo, Thomas Juarez, Andrew Schreckenberg (Katie), Lynn, Abby Poggemoeller, Brittany Restoff, Danielle, David Jr., Destiny, Jayden and Sophia Poggemoeller. She is also survived by sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Legion Post #233 of Okawville or to the Marine Corp League Detachment #74 in Collinsville, and will be accepted by the Campagna Funeral Home.
