The passing of Blake I. Carrico of Okawville, Illinois, born in Belleville, Illinois leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on March 30, 2025 at the age of 16. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Charles Carrico, Bob and Janice Twardoski; his great-grandparents, Jerry, Bessie Adams and Frieda Gould; and his uncle Christopher Lindsay.

He is survived by: his parents, Steven Carrico and Melissa Carrico; his sisters, Haleigh of Okawville and Andi of Okawville; his grandparents, Ron, Mona Carrico of Mascoutah, IL, Sherry Wodochek (Frank) of Okawville and Jake Lindsay of Okawville; his great-grandparents, Deanna Carrico of O'Fallon, IL, Bob and Barb Gould of Fairview Heights, IL; his aunts and uncles, Amber Carrico, Sybrina Schmeiderer (Dane), Todd Robinson (Mariah), Shane Lindsay, McKenzee Downes (Coleton), Kalee Powell (Isiah), Megan Ingram (Mason) and Ryan Wodochek; and his cousins, Aiden Carrico, Peyton Lindsay, Joseph Schmeiderer, Talyn Robinson, Raelin, Reyna, Zeek Powell, Aubree Lindsay, Myles Ingram and Wrenly Robinson.

Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Okawville Jr/Sr High School (400 S Hanover St, Okawville, IL 62271). A funeral service was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.

The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be directed to a fund that will be established to support the future education of Blake's sisters Haleigh and Andi.
