We are sad to announce that on May 3, 2020, at the age of 81, Norman W. Schmitt (Oglesby, Illinois), born in Leonore, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Schmitt and Margaret Schmitt (Pflibsen). He is survived by: his wife Carolyn; his children, Eileen Knecht (Kevin) of Tonica, Steven Schmitt (Nancy Bowers) of Westmont, IL and Jeanine Schmitt of Oglesby; his grandchildren, Kathryn Schmitt of Chicago, Kellyn Schmitt of Chicago and Michael Schmitt of Chicago; his siblings, Jim Schmitt (Nancy Carroll) of Peru and Anita Lukach (George M.) of Streator; and his sisters-in-law, Donna Calkins (Arnold) of Streator and Ruth Baldin (Richard) of Oglesby.
