She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Dominic Ghighi and Alida Ghighi (Dekeyser); her children, Gerald Samolinski (Ann) of Phoenix, Michael Samolinski of Oglesby, Natalie Jordan (David) of Helena, MT, Humphrey of Plainfield, Rebecca Gapinski of Peru and Deborah Niswonger (Eric) of Verona, WI; and her sister Mary Reed of Columbus, OH. She was also cherished by 11 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Illinois Valley Food Pantry or the donor's choice.
