He was predeceased by: his parents, John Christmann and Evelyn Christmann (Virgo); and his sister Evelyn Stevens. He is survived by: his wife Frances Mary Defoer; his children, Joseph Christmann Jr. (Shari) of Dalzell, Denise Kaszynski (James) of Oglesby and Richard Christmann (Wendy) of Oglesby; his grandchildren, Sarah Bernardi, Kristen Witalka, Jessica Chase, Zachary Christmann, Rachel Kaszynski, Lisa Kaszynski, Austin Christmann and Michael Kaszynski; his siblings, Pauline Wilson of LaSalle and John Christmann of DePue; and also Jamie Thomas of Oglesby. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
