He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo T. Ficek and Josephine Ficek (Krolak); and his sister Jeannine Eitutis. He is survived by: his wife Connie Haupt; his son Nathan Ficek (Hali) of Tonica; his grandchildren, Wyatt, Lilian and Jack Ficek; his siblings, MaryAnn Ruda of LaSalle, Cynthia Morrow (Robert) of West Virginia, Bill Ficek (Donna) of Wisconsin, Ken Ficek (Barb) of Oglesby and Dick Ficek (Joanne) of Indiana; and his sister-in-law Mary Jane Haupt of Peru. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A prayer was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 at 3:45 PM and on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Mueller Funeral Home - Peru (909 Pike St, Peru, IL 61354). Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 22nd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location. A Mass was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Joseph's Church (1925 5th St, Peru, IL 61354).
