With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Germaine Agnes Sons of Oglesby, Illinois, born in Streator, Illinois, who passed away on September 21, 2022 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her son Oglesby; her parents, Henry Salz and Rose Salz (Juenger); her husband Ira Jack; her former husband Harold Schafer; and her siblings, Irene Watson, Virginia Thomas, Victor Salz, Eugene Salz, Jerome Salz, Lloyd Salz and Henry Salz.
She is survived by: her children, Rose Fluech of Leonore, Betty Davis (Stephen) of Brooksville, FL, Robert Schafer (Shelia) of Houston, MO, Donald Schafer (Debra), Michael Schafer (Laurie) of Waupun, WI, Lynn Shirley (Tony) of Tonica, William Schafer (Sandra) of Hancock, WI and Marlene Mertens of Wisconin Rapids, WI; and her siblings, Floyd Salz of Tonica and Imelda "Mutz" Whalen of Streator. She is also survived by seven stepchildren; many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
