He was predeceased by: his parents, Wayne Hess and Louise Hess (Brown); and his former spouse Nydia Hess. He is survived by: his daughter Yvette Hess; his grandson Croix Rivers of St. Croix; and his brothers, Glenn Hess (Brenda), N. C. and Kent Hess (Barbara Brennan) of Rockford. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
