He was predeceased by: his sister Mary Ellen Reed (Edward McCaw); and his great grandchild Aurora Joers. He is survived by: his wife Nancy; his daughter Rebecca Thompson (Tommy) of Mascoutah; his grandchildren, Michelle Joers (Scott), Andrew and Patrick Thompson; his great grandchildren, Sophia and Collin; and his sister Suzanne Hongsermeier. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
