He is survived by: his wife Sara Eckert; his children, Kimberly Schwaegel of O'Fallon, Kreg Eckert (Angi) of Roanoke, Van-Lear Eckert (Jenny) of Maplewood and Heidi Eckert (Kenneth Shup) of St. Louis, Missouri.; his grandchildren, Justin Ralston, Jessica Ralston, Keith Schwaegel, Bradley Schwaegel, Kristin Sellers, Anna Eckert, Isaac Eckert, Alexander Eckert, Benjamin Shup and Meredith Shup; his great grandchildren, Cecilia Sellers, Tabitha Sellers, Kaley Schwaegel and Beckett Schwaegel; his brother George Eckert (Betty) of Columbia, Illinois; and his nieces and nephews, David Eckert, Donald Eckert, Donna Eckert (Randall), Diane Widman (Steve), Patty Rogoz (Danny) and Mareda Eckert. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
