She was predeceased by: her husband Hubert Ahring; her parents, John and Matilda; her daughter Debra; her siblings, Cleola Miller (Bud), Clara Steppig (Artie) and Louis Mueth (Pearl); her grandson Michael Goodman; and her great grandchild Peyton Goodman.
She is survived by: her children, Patricia Harbaugh (Kenneth) of Red Bud, Gary Ahring (Rebecca) of O'Fallon, Robert Ahring (Linda) of O'Fallon and Kathy Goodman (William) of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Kenny Harbaugh (Donna), Rich Harbaugh (Danielle), Rob Harbaugh (Lori), Angie Meddows, Danielle Thorstensen, Laurie MacCauley (Terry), Jamie Turner (Lloyd), Jennifer Evans (Tim), Willie Goodman (Melissa), Joe Goodman and Bethany Butters (Kyle); her great grandchildren, Taylor, MaKenzie, Claire, Jacob, Renee Harbaugh, Ashley Thorstensen, Kylie Meddows, Courtney, Whitney, Mandey Jackson, Ryan Turner, Nicholas Turner, Timothy, Daniel, Brian, Louis Evans, William Goodman, Noa Butters, Hailey Butters, Riley MacCauley and Reagan MacCauley; her great great grandchildren, Jaxon Paul and Emilia Kronenberger; and her sister-in-law Mildred Kimmle (late Edward).
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorial donations in memory of Leona Ahring to St. Nicholas Catholic Church Building Fund, Hospice of Southern Illinois, or as Masses.
