Kevin Jon Asselin Obituary

Kevin Jon Asselin, 66, of O'Fallon, IL, who was born September 1, 1955, in Milwaukee, WI, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at Memorial Hospital East in Shiloh, IL.

Kevin was a loving husband, father, brother, grandpa, and friend to many. He was a member of the O'Fallon Sportsmen's Club and loved spending time outdoors. Whether it was fishing, watering his flowers, caring for the pool, barbecuing, or just hanging out on the patio, he was always happy to be outside soaking up the sunshine. Kevin was quiet yet he could strike up a conversation with anyone he met. He enjoyed going gambling with his wife and spending as much time with his grandchildren as he could. He will be truly missed and always loved.

Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Shirley Asselin (nee Drace); one brother, Brian Asselin; and one sister, Karen Jordan.

Kevin is survived by his beloved wife, Monica Asselin (nee Wielgus) of O'Fallon, IL; two children, Ryan (Beth Mackey) Asselin of O'Fallon, IL and Taylor (Dakota) Haerter of O'Fallon, IL; six brothers and sisters, Layton (Susie) Asselin, Mark (Linda) Asselin, Rex (Sue) Asselin, Brad (Sandy) Asselin, Rachelle (Rick) Wagner, and Tracie (Al) Ratz; brother-in-law, Rick Jordan; sister-in-law, Dana Asselin; six grandchildren, Savannah Asselin, Mia Asselin, Cooper Haerter, Esmerelda Mackey, Alyssa Mackey, and Jay Mackey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
