With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Kaye Arline Vargas of OFallon, Illinois, born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on February 24, 2024 at the age of 81. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Norvell James and Genevieve James (Edmonds); her brother Norvell "Pete"; and her sisters-in-law, June James, Mary Angela Krupp and Linda Vargas.

She is survived by: her husband Michael Vargas; her sons, Michael Vargas, Charles Vargas and Joseph Vargas; her granddaughter Krista Vargas; her sons, Kyle, Kasey and Lisbeth; her great grandchildren, Neaveh and Skylar; her siblings, Robert "Burt" James, Linda Overby (Marvin "Butch") and Hortensia "Tencha" Haines (Larry); her brothers-in-law, Dennis Krupp and Gonzalo "Lalo" Vargas; her in-law Hortensia "Tencha" Haines (Larry); and her friend Marilyn Crook.
