It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joseph Edward Verbeck (OFallon, Illinois), born in East Saint Louis, Illinois, who passed away on April 9, 2019, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Eugene Verbeck and Mary Verbeck; and his brothers, Gene Verbeck, Jerry Verbeck and Bill Verbeck.

He is survived by: his former wife Janet Coomes; his wife Janet Verbeck; his children, Jason Verbeck (Jaime), Jody Verbeck and Gina Scrivner (Jim); his grandchildren, Albert, Jansen, Haylee and Joseph; his brother Charles "Butch" Verbeck; and also Steven Ford. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKendree University Bass Fishing Team.
