He was predeceased by: his parents, Percy Chalmers and Artherene Chalmers; and his siblings, Mary Alice Holman and James Jeffrey Chalmers. He is survived by: his wife Thelma Chalmers; his children, Chris Ford (Lisa) of Tampa, FL, Cynthia Bass (John) of Ft. Walton Beach, FL, Troy Robinson (Sandra) of O'Fallon, IL, Douglas Boler (Kim) of Jacksonville, FL and Celeste Aldrich (Chris) of Machesney Park, IL; his siblings, Willye Rene Peterson (Harold) and Percy Chalmers, Jr. (Sharon); and his grandchildren, Jacy Fisher, Bryce Carpenter, Nate Boler, Nicolas Boler, Levi Boler, Cailei Aldrich, Connor Aldrich, Cody Aldrich and John Bass, Jr..
