He is survived by: his wife Rebecca; his children, Lisa Schnautz (Mike) and David Kappert (Paulo); his brothers, Donald Kappert (Loretta) and John Kappert Jr.; his grandchildren, David Schnautz (Alyssa) and Courtney Schmitz (Landry); and also Miller.

Memorial donations are suggested to either Victory Church or Randy's Rescue Ranch and will be accepted at the funeral home.
