He was loved and cherished by many people including: his brother Andrew Shafer; his grandparents, Marshall Farris, Clarence and Freda Shafer; his wife Jamie; his children, Seth and Allison of O'Fallon, IL; his parents, Bonnie Howard (John) of Metropolis, Illinois and Clyde Shafer (Trish) of Metropolis, IL; his parents-in-law, Gary and Vicki Ellis of Granite City, IL; his brother Jeremy Shafer (Staci) of Vienna, IL; his stepbrothers, Patrick Howard (Tana) of Paducah, KY and Steve Benard (Angela) of Goreville, IL; his brother-in-law Jeremy Ellis of Granite City, IL; and his grandmother Dorothy Farris of Metropolis, IL.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 1:45 PM at the Regency Park. A memorial service was held on Sunday, October 13th 2024 at 3:15 PM at the Gateway Classic Cars (1237 Central Park Dr, O'Fallon, IL 62269).
