He was predeceased by: his parents, James Austin and Willie Bea. He is survived by: his wife Vernell Spencer; his children, Gary Spencer (Kendrea) of Amelia Island, Fla. and Sherry Enskat (Bruce) of Citrus Springs, Fla.; his grandsons, Timothy Enskat, Nicholas Spencer (Jennifer), Aaron Enskat (Emily) and Cody Spencer; and his great grandchildren, Joshua Spencer and Clara Enskat.
Memorial donations may be made to O'Fallon United Church of Christ or donor's charity of choice, and will be accepted at the funeral home.
