Gilbert J. Klein Obituary

We are sad to announce that on March 21, 2025, at the age of 92, Gilbert J. Klein of OFallon, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Klein (Isabelle) and Klein Lotz; and his siblings, Marleen Jung (Wayne), Darwin "Sonny" Klein and James Klein.

He is survived by: his wife Audrey; his children, David Klein (Karen Tiemann), Doug Klein (Laura), Lynn Iler (Scott) and Dawn Meyer (Ray); his grandchildren, Kristin Green (James), Erica Stoviak (Craig), Brittany Klein (Alyssa), Daryn Klein (Cierra), Katie Hendrickson (Eric), Kiersten Ban (Chris), Amanda Piatt (Caleb), Clayton Iler (Kristin), Logan Iler, Emma McCroskey (Mitchell), Audrey Meyer (Reid Conner), Trey Meyer and Joel Meyer; his brother Dwayn "Dewey" Klein; and his sister-in-law Delores Klein. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, March 26th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the O'Fallon United Church of Christ (206 W Adams St, O'Fallon, IL 62269).

Memorial donations are suggested to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
