It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Claude Norton Barrow of OFallon, Illinois, born in Marilla, New York, who passed away on January 13, 2025, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude and Lois; his sister Lois Brake (Bob); and his granddaughter Abigail Burdick. He is survived by: his wife Phyllis "Peg" Barrow of O'Fallon; his children, David Barrow (Nancy) of Tolland, Conn., Mark Barrow (Gan) of Yukon, Okla and Kathy Burdick (Mike) of Effingham, Ill.; his siblings, Fay (Manny) of Buffalo, N. Y. and Kay (Bob) of Belleville, Ill.; his grandchildren, Justin Barrow, Jakob Barrow, Kelsey Barrow, John Barrow, Robert Barrow, Nate Burdick, Ammon Probst and Ben Burdick; and his great grandchildren, Henry, Clark, Dean, Quintin, Kennedy, Elliot, Hank, Knox, Marci, Eden, Anthony and Josiah.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the O'Fallon First United Methodist Church (504 E Hwy 50, O'Fallon, IL 62269). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, January 22nd 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
The Barrow family kindly requests that no flowers, plants or gifts be sent, but much prefers memorial donations in memory of Claude Barrow be directed to one of his favorite local organizations: O'Fallon First United Methodist Church, O'Fallon Boy Scout Troop 46, Kiwanis Club of O'Fallon, or the O'Fallon Community Food Pantry.
