He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl and Helen; and his sister Mary Katherine Johnson (Robert). He is survived by: his wife Elinor; his children, Charles E. Schlosser (Cindy) of Springfield, Ill, David M. Schlosser (Toni) of O'Fallon and Donald R. Schlosser (Shelly) of Cabot, Ark.; his grandchildren, Sarah Vollintine (Shane) of Cody, CJ, Chloe and Kailee Schlosser; and his great grandchildren, Tyler, Bailey, Alayna and Jack. He is also survived by 2 nieces and 1 nephew.
