He was predeceased by: his parents, Nelson Lester and Effie Lester (Cline); his wife Carolyn Lester; his son A. L. Lester; and his brothers, Orville S. Lester, Ott, Claude and Phillip Lester.
He is survived by: his children, Frances Howard (Frank) of Yukon, Okla, Janet Sutton (Rick) of Helotes and Tim Lester (Stacey) of Freeburg, Ill.; his daughter-in-law Marie Lester; his goddaughter Mary Frances Soltys; his grandchildren, Rachael Howard, Sarah Smith (Brett), Emily Shoultz (Andy), Joshua Lester, Jordan Lester, Leigha Sutton, Jessica Greene (Joshua) and Kayla Ramsey (Jonathan); his great grandchildren, Jeremiah Smith, Isla Shoultz, Korra Smith, Landon Greene and Carter Ramsey; and his siblings, Dott Lester (Dolly), Hassel Lester, Velma Grubb, Ovella Jennings, Della Vinson (Al) and Clarice Hagerman (Curtis). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, his in-laws, and a host of friends.
