He was predeceased by: his parent Manuel Christopher. He is survived by: his parent Frances Matta; his siblings, Nadine Matta Haynes of Cynthia, KY, Anne Marie Matta Wilson (Thomas) of Sealy, TX, John C. Matta (Paula) of Las Vegas, NV and Michelle Matta Mendez (Jose) of Albuquerque, NM.; his nieces and nephews, Sheree Matta Erven (Philip), Christine Matta, Marc Matta, Jose Manuel Mendez (Sara) and Victor Mendez; and his great-nieces, Philip, Grayson, Chelsey, Matthew and Emma.
