He was predeceased by: his parents, John Broeckling and Opal Broeckling (Hetzel); his wife Mary Jane Roll; his siblings, Robert Hetzel and Mary Alice Schaeffer; his brothers-in-law, Charles D. Brewer and Victor Schaeffer; and his nephew Richard Hetzel.
He is survived by: his sister Joann Brower of Bowling Green, KY; his sister-in-law Mary Hetzel of Huey; and his pets, Muffin and Gus. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and many cousins.
