He was predeceased by: his parents, Glenn Hoover and Julia Hoover (Kurtz); his siblings, Edith Mitchell, Marion Edmiston, Gene Nunn and Glenn Hoover; and his son Kent Hoover.
He is survived by: his spouse Rhea Wilcox; his children, Kerry Hoover (Tami) of Centralia, Douglas Hoover of Odin, Monte Hoover (Julie) of Odin and Stanley Hoover of Centralia; his grandchildren, Michael Hoover (Alicia) of Ray Albert, III, Cara Beth Albert, Terry Bierman, Brian Bierman, Christopher Hoover, Nick Hoover, Stacy Hoover, Curtis Hoover, Anya Kelly and Melissa Hoover-Lowery (Scott); his great grandchildren, Caleb, Hunter, Reed, David, Brian Jr., McKayla, K'Lynn, Abygayle, Aribella, Gabriel, Zachary, Connor, Lindsey, Lana Rose and Arnoni; and his siblings, Alice Dulaney and Carl Hoover (Charlotte).
Memorials may be made in Howard's honor to the Odin Food Pantry, Gospel Lighthouse and will be accepted for the family at Irvin Macz Funeral Home 234 South Elm St. Centralia, IL 62801.
