With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Rita A. Verdun of Odell, Illinois, born in Dwight, Illinois, who passed away on June 7, 2024 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Burns and Florence Burns (Hatting); her husband J. Kenneth Verdun; her brothers, Howard Burns, Robert Burns and Richard Burns; and her grandmother Maggie (Molly).
She is survived by: her children, Stephen H. Verdun (Kimberly) of Odell, Daniel L. Verdun of Chester, VA and Cathy A. Fraher (Jon) of Pontiac; her grandchildren, Margaret Bohnert (Thomas), Molly Verdun, Ryan Fraher and Kelly Fraher; and her mother-in-law Kim.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Catholic Church or St. Paul Catholic School.
